Easy Winter Skincare Routine ft. COVERGIRL Clean Fresh Skincare

A simple three-step regimen!

by Kaya Marriott

I had the privilege of working with COVERGIRL to share how I use their Clean Fresh Skincare lineup in my winter skin routine over on Pinterest, and though this blog post is not sponsored, I wanted to make sure y’all didn’t miss out on the regimen and these great products!

About COVERGIRL’s Clean Fresh Skincare Line

The Clean Fresh line is part of COVERGIRL’s commitment to sustainable, “clean” beauty products without the additives and ingredients that the skincare influencers like to keep out of their products, and that I honestly haven’t stressed too much about.. but maybe I should?

This means their products are all vegan, cruelty-free, and free of parabens, surfaces, phthalates, mineral oils, formaldehyde and talc.

They began in makeup with foundation and concealers, expanded into their luxurious-feeling lip tints, and then their newest addition: skincare.

The line is available at Walmart alongside all your COVERGIRL faves!

How I use it in my Winter Routine

Now let’s get into how I use this product line in my cold-weather skin regimen! Watch the pin below, and read the highlights beneath it!

1. Wash with the Hydrating Cream Cleanser

In winter it can feel as though we can’t get enough moisture into our skin no matter how hard we try, so it’s important to reach for a facial cleanser that doesn’t leave you feeling stripped.

COVERGIRL’s Hydrating Cream Cleanser is my go-to this time of year. It’s incredibly milky and gentle, making it suitable for all skin types, and it leaves my skin feeling juicy.

It melts right in, and is great for removing oils and makeup.

My only con is that sometimes it stings when I get it in my eyes… but I think my eyeballs are especially sensitive to most products.

2. Spray with the Priming Glow Mist

Did you know that most serums work best when applied to damp skin? Whether it’s winter or not, I love keeping the Priming Glow Mist on hand to help my other products absorb more easily.

In the case of my simple winter routine, I use the mist as an extra layer of moisture to prep my skin for the moisturizer.

3. End with a moisturizer

Final step is sealing all that hydration in with a good moisturizer.

COVERGIRL currently has three moisturizer you can choose from based on your skin type.

Mattifying (Oil Free) Moisturizer

Pink Container

Designed for oily or combination skin, this moisturizer helps moisturize for up to 24 hours, and gives you the hydration you need without the shine.

Dry Skin Corrector Cream

Yellow Container

As the title suggests, this moisturizer is designed with dry skin in mind.

It helps restore and nourish the skin without feeling greasy–it’s formula containing jojoba oil and shea butter for all-day hydration.

Weightless Water Cream

Blue Container

Beneficial for all skin types, and my go-to.

It is incredibly lightweight, the texture some how reminds me of whipped water… if that were a thing.

It’s also fast-absorbing, and helps hydrate for up to 72 hours!

I always get compliments on my skin when I’m using this product!

Final Thoughts on COVERGIRL Clean Fresh Skincare

I’m always a fan of a simple skincare system, and I love how well COVERGIRL’s cleanser, spray, and moisture play together to leave my skin feeling hydrated.

The standout product in this line is definitely the weightless water cream–it really does keep your skin hydrated for a long time, and I’ve yet to find anything else with a similar texture.
