Finally, a head wrap styling tutorial from yours truly. Keep reading, and I’ll show you my favourite ways to wear my Melanin Hair Care Wrap.
When Melanin Haircare (the company owned by OG Natural Hair Youtuber, Naptural85‘s) launched their leave-in conditioner, they also dropped some new headwraps. And listen. It took absolutely EVERYTHING out of me not to buy them all. I had, after all, gone on their website to pick up the leave-in, and the leave-in only.
That being said, I did cave and get the sunset satin stretch wrap… and a refill of their twisting cream and pure oil blend… but that’s beside the point.

Since you all have been asking me again and again… and again for head wrap tutorials, I figured this would be the perfect opportunity. This tutorial was already posted on IGTV, but I wanted to share it in a more permanent blog post too!
But first…
The Melanin Hair Care Wrap Options
At the time of writing this post, Melanin Haircare has three different head wraps on their website. They are all big, beautiful, and made of materials that will not dry out your curls.
Satin Stretch Head Wrap (Sunset) (the one I have)

How to tie your Headwraps
There is no shortage of head wrap tying inspiration and tutorials out there, but I wanted to add my own to the mix.
So here is me demonstrating four very simple ways to style my Melanin Hair care Wrap (or any head wrap).
Which of the four styles is your favourite? For me, my go-to style depends on the day, where I’m going, and what I’m wearing!

Have you had a chance to get your hands on this or any of the other Melanin Hair Care wraps? If so, what are your thoughts? Let’s chat below in the comments!

Hi, I have a question. I love wearing headscarf, I use vintage style mostly. But I wonder can I, as a white person, wear the type of knot/scarf you and other black creators show ? I find them absoluty stunning but I don’t want to culturaly appropriate something.
I hope I’m clear, english is not my first language :)
Hello,
I was recently diagnosed with cancer and have been exploring different types of head wraps. I’ve been leaning towards colorful silk wraps, but they tend to slide around my head. Any suggestions on how to keep the scarves on when you have no hair?

Thank You for your demos. What the dimensions of your scarf?
My absolute pleasure! The scarf dimensions are 22x72inches. Pretty big!!
This is so helpful! Thank you for this headwrap tutorial!
